[How-To] Remove lag from KMPlayer

kmplayer lag

Today in this post, I wish to show you how to remove lag on videos/movies running with H264 codec.

This is not difficult to do, you just have to follow a few steps and everything should be done...

What do you need?

Before you start you need to install some programs. Here is what you need;

How to remove lag from KMPlayer?

Start The KMPlayer and enter Preferences window by pressing F2

  1. Firstly you have to disable filter: Video Processing > KMP Video Transform Filter > Disable
  2. Second from left choose Source Filter > Check Matroska (install Haali Media Splitter , if you don't have)
  3. Download and install CoreAVC (Works great with HD stuff)
  4. From left choose Decoder Usage > Internal Video Decoder > Disable for h264 and AVC1
  5. Again from left choose Decoder Usage > External Video Decoder > System Default for all.

After these steps, if you have any problems or questions you can ask from comment below.

Thanks for reading and good luck. :-)

  1. You're a life saver! Thank you so much. :)

Some of my larger, higher quality videos wouldn't convert and I could never watch them. Not only can I watch them now, but I can keep the high quality. Thanks a ton!

    1. I forget to mention it but I will tell you how to do it.

During the installation progress, you should enter the e-mail and serial from keys.txt (in the archive)

Or I will give them here.

    1. Hello,

I guess you get lag issues on x264 codec videos, but that tutorial should help you to fix that. Maybe you should try to re-install the KM Player, and have you installed CoreAVC and Hali Splitter?

Thank you and let us know the results. Have a nice day :)
